It is nearly time for our birthday here at Zebedees, and we have been really busy in the build up to this special day making sure we really mark the occasion.

Zebedees has always focused on providing freshly cooked, tasty and healthy food to the children we deliver to. At this 25 year milestone, we have been thinking about what else we can do to contribute to the children and families in our local communities and beyond. So we came up with some ideas…

Food Bank Drop

This Summer we contacted a number of our nurseries and asked them to decorate 50 boxes for us. Each of these boxes was then packed with essential food items and delivered to 25 Food Banks located throughout our delivery zones, providing assistance to local families who are most in need of assistance during the current cost of living crisis. Donation to Natasha Allergy Research Foundation

To celebrate our birthday, on 17^th November we will be providing a Celebration Meal for nurseries and for every meal ordered, we will be donating 25p to the Natasha Allergy Research Foundation. Childhood allergies is an area we know well, as we cater for literally thousands of children suffering from food allergies every week. Allergies are the most common chronic disorder in children and prevalence has dramatically increased in the last 25 years, something that we have seen first-hand as the number of dietary meal orders continue to grow. We understand the impact of allergies on children and their families and hope to raise at least £2,000 through the sale of our celebration meals to support this incredible charity and the work that they do, including raising awareness and funding groundbreaking allergy research.

Celebration Meal

Our 25th Birthday Lunch Menu will be delivered on Friday 17th November 2023 and can be ordered on ZOO in the usual way. If you have any children at your nursery who do not usually receive a Zebedees lunch, please share this information with their parents so all children have the opportunity to join in the fun.

Celebration Barbeque Chicken
Sliced chicken breast in Laura’s special recipe homemade BBQ sauce
Served with Rice

SECOND COURSE
One Two Three Party Cake
We will be providing three separate elements for children to build their own fun party cake:
Beetroot and cocoa sponge squares
Cream cheese frosting
Edible decorative cake topper

All participating children will receive some extra surprises too so that they can celebrate in style. Email us your pictures on the day or share on social media using #zebedees25years.

Adult meals will be available to order if staff or parents would like to join in the celebration. We will also be delivering a Zebedees 2024 Desktop Calendar to every nursery. Make sure to take a look through and see if yours was one of the winning designs!

Later this week all our nurseries will be receiving a lovely Zebedees branded jute bag and travel mug. A paper copy of the 25th Birthday Menu is also included in your bag so that you can display it in the nursery.
