We are really excited to announce the launch of our 'takeaway' pizza classes!

The classes are designed to teach children, in a simple, fun and engaging way - why eating a balanced diet is important for a healthy body. We provide everything a nursery needs to run their own class in-house.

With Ofsted inspectors putting greater emphasis than ever before on early years settings supporting children to keep themselves healthy, our Eat a Rainbow Pizza classes can help nurseries to demonstrate that they are educating children on why it is important to enjoy a healthy diet, including providing a practical meal preparation exercise.

As part of the class, children learn about different coloured fruits and vegetables, the nutrients they provide and how they help to support the health of different parts of our body. We also provide a mixture of foods for the children to feel, smell and taste – encouraging them to maybe try something new!

Finally, we provide all of the ingredients and equipment you need to make your very own Rainbow Pizzas with the children. This includes boxes for the children to take the pizzas home for cooking and eating, so no ovens required!

The class includes an instruction video as well as:

• Prompt card
• A set of taster pots and foods to try
• Reward stickers
• Flour for sprinkling
• 12 x balls of dough
• Tomato based sauce
• Assortment of rainbow pizza toppings
• 12 x takeaway pizza boxes
• Reward stickers
• Allergen Labels

And for each child to take home:

• An A5 Rainbow Healthy Eating Card.
• Apron
• Rolling pin

The classes are aimed at 3-4 year olds and designed for a maximum of 12 children, but you can order more than one class if you have a larger number of children. However, we recommend keeping the session to a maximum of 12 children at a time.

The classes are £75 per class (12 children) and can be ordered by contacting clientservices@zebedees.co.uk or calling us on 01323 811307. Everything you need for the class will be delivered by your usual delivery driver, on your chosen date, and the cost added to your invoice.
