FREE WEBINAR: Salt & Sugar in the Early Years

3rd October 2022

At Zebedees we regularly receive queries from nurseries and parents on the hot topics of sugar and salt. Concerns we hear are: How much (if any) salt is safe for children? What is the difference between added and naturally occurring sugars? How much salt and sugar do Zebedees use in their dishes?

Following the success of our last webinar on Fussy Eating at Nursery we asked our Nutrition Consultant, Charlotte Stirling-Reed, if she would be able to run an online presentation covering these particular subjects. So Charlotte joined Alastair and Dawn at Zebedees HQ and talked in-depth on how sugar and salt effect children’s bodies, what nurseries and parents can do to minimise salt and sugar in their children’s diets, and what we are doing at Zebedees to keep our menus within the guidelines. We also had a Q&A session at the end, where some fantastic and interesting questions were put forward.

We were so happy to be joined by a number of our nurseries and parents and thank you for the lovely feedback we received:

“Great information so thank you all”

“Thanks for the presentation and efforts to improve children health”

“Thank you, I would love to know if you are doing any more like this”
